For most companies covid-19 was an uncertain and worrying time. However, for our client The Rag Shop, they took this as an opportunity to start something amazing. The brand was created in the heart of Warrington and, since the booming success and growth of the online store, The Rag Shop needed to expand. This is where we come in!
13 Creative were asked initially to design the interior of the contemporary fabric shop. With extensive market research and a full audit of the sector, we wanted to break away from the stereotypes of dark and dingy fabric shops and offer a feel-good brand that is inviting and accessible to everyone.
Firstly came the branding; working with the client to ‘get under the skin’ of the brand, we started to create the brand guidelines. Once we had these signed off and in place, we set about to create the look and feel of the shop. Designing contemporary artisan units that would house the many genre of fabrics and array of colours, offering storage solutions for material and day-to-day amenities too. Creating bespoke solutions-based builds that would support the heavy fabrics, but also provide a dynamic display of the offering, with customisable etch wood giving each crafted unit a premium, personalised touch.
Once we presented our concept for the bespoke interior design, we developed this out to deliver a full branded service from fabric tags, compliment slips, floor decals, fabric swatches to window vinyl graphics to unify the brand creating the new ‘look and feel’ of The Rag Shop.
This led us to combine the strong personality from the brand and the bold colours from the fabrics to produce a brand style that incorporates the versatility of different fabrics.
